    It's an L644G pack date 6/26 I don't know the rest.

It did have a slightly convex IHS not like my other quad whaich is slightly concave.

    Not lapped

Cooling is a Zalman 9700 with the fan full speed and it
s in a nice Coolermaster ATC 110 case.

Interesting, I got a couple, I was'nt going to and I ended up with a L644A and a L720A. One of them needs to go back. I am working on the L720A and its toasty hot. I think the IHS is not flat. It ran at 40c idle stock speed. Keep in mind my house is warm and I cool a couple GTX's in the same loop. I am at 3.2 right now with 1.4 vcore. Under smp full load its around 66c .
Looks like you have some awesome results there. Maybe I will check out the L644A after all.

    Nice numbers, Shad !

That 's the way it should be though; putting it together, installing OS and FaH and running it ...

Very nice CPU temps too !

    Congrats

    Thanks

Except I didn't install the OS.

I jsut swapped out the Asus 965 board and E6420 for a P35 board and Quad and used the same S Install

    Even more amazing !

I 've done that with Windows installs in my time, but not with a Linux distro (yet) !

    Nice this is possible !

Did that distro go on to install other drivers ?

Shad, did you rerun sensors-detect after the swap? That temp just doesn't look right to me unless that system is in a room that's 60F or cooler.

Yes I did but I don't think GB is known for accurate sensor readings
