i'm tired of seeing horizontal lines in my console games every time my character moves... how do i get rid of them?

viewsonice g225fb (an new one... that's just started flickering in the lower left hand corner even at 85 and 90 hz... i don't think these things are well made... anyway)
this happened on my old monitor too. it's more noticeable on this one because this one has .20mm dot pitch.
