    Building a new system

Im looking to build a new system and would like to have a couple opinions about some processors. Im on a budget of $700 for the whole system so the processor has to be worth the money. If you have any suggestions for other components please post them here too.

whats the primary function of the pc? depending on that u start with the intended object, such as video card for gamers.

    Re: Building a new system

Its not all out gaming like most people do today although I do game sometimes (mostly Counter Strike:Source). I have LAN parties with friends sometimes and im really looking for a PC to blow them away. I want to have a Linux based OS on it to make it cheaper. I need lots of storage space for pictures.
