    Re: Korean Peace Treaty?

I think someone at FOX has a case of the Saturday "stupids"

    U.N. to Condemn N. Korea

Key Security Council nations plan to denounce communist country's recent nuclear rocket launch

^^thats a direct cut and paste.

I sure wish we had nuclear rockets.

Maybe Glenn Beck has taken over the newsroom and writes headlines now!!

We have SEAL teams, we have Special Forces, we have expert Marine
Snipers... why don't we just shoot the already? Yea, France will
whine about it, the U.N. will explode with activity... but nothing would come
of it. Except, of course, that the little crazy man won't be threatening to
launch nuclear missles anymore. And in 25 years, folks will be saying it was a
    good move.

Not to worry. Obama has things well in hand

"North Korea is directly and recklessly challenging the international community," Obama said in a statement. "North Korea's behavior increases tensions and undermines stability in Northeast Asia."
Obama said Washington will be working in the days ahead with the Security Council and other nations that have been trying to pursuade North Korea to give up on its nuclear ambitions.

In quotes: Reactions to N Korea test

North Korea's latest underground nuclear test has prompted alarm from the immediate region and around the world.
    US PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
North Korea is directly and recklessly challenging the international community. North Korea's behaviour increases tensions and undermines stability in Northeast Asia.
JAPANESE CHIEF CABINET SECRETARY TAKEO KAWAMURA
It is absolutely unacceptable. Japan will take stern action against North Korea.
    UK PRIME MINISTER GORDON BROWN
I condemn North Korea's nuclear test in the strongest terms. This act will undermine prospects for peace on the Korean peninsula and will do nothing for North Korea's security. The international community will treat North Korea as a partner if it behaves responsibly. If it does not then it can expect only renewed isolation
    RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER SERGEI LAVROV
Naturally, we are concerned by reports that North Korea has conducted an explosion of a nuclear device. These reports have come from Pyongyang. Naturally, we are also relying on the need to double-check these reports, including by means of national seismic control, which we and other countries have. Now all the received data are being analysed. After that we will draw conclusions.
JAN KOHOUT, FOREIGN MINISTER OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC, CURRENT EU PRESIDENT
We are very much disturbed. If it's confirmed, it will be condemned by the EU.

I don't know why the Chinese put up with these clowns on their doorstep. I suppose they don't want the economic competition and it's in their interest to keep Korea divided.

I'm serious you f******, this time we REALLY mean the condemnation we're putting forth.

Honestly, we're about to move to the next step of entire paragraphs denoting our anger!

    Re: Korean Peace Treaty?

In reaction to the no balls chest pounding and UN resolutions...
North Korea fired two short-range missiles along its east coast Tuesday, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency. The reported launch came a day after similar launches and the apparently successful test of a nuclear weapon. Yonhap had reported earlier in the day that North Korea had declared parts of its coast off-limit to ships, signaling that a new launch was imminent.
