On standard BF3 HIGH video settings I'm getting solid 50's with an AMD X6 @ 3.6 and a single GTX 460 overclocked to 825/1650/2000. SLI should own this game. DICE has done a great job getting such an amazing looking game to run so well on modest hardware.

Just talked to my brother-in-law who took the day off from work to play BF3. I recently upgraded his Q6600 based system to 2 GTX 460's in SLI. He says he's got everything maxed out and the game is playing smooth as can be. He's loving the game so far too. AAAhhhh, it sucks being broke from my recent system purchase. I can't afford this game now!!!

I have a question about BF3 multi. Are any of you playing this via a wireless network? It's been a LONG time since I've played a multiplayer game (Enemy Territory was the last multi I played). I know back then wireless and online play was a big no no as the ping would suffer. Is this still true? Hopefully not as I'll have to run a Cat 5 from the basement to my living room every time I want to play if it is.

I do with no problems using this router:

    And this adapter:

In fact all the mp games I play it's hard to tell I'm even using wireless.

That's the exact same adapter I just bought a couple months back. Good to know wireless will work ok. Btw, went over to my bro-in-law's house tonight and played BF3 for a bit. It was fun, until the unreal horrible lag started. It became unplayable.

If you have a good wireless signal in the house it should work just fine. Won't affect your ping at all.

It will work, but not sure about fine. It won't be AS fast.

    I prefer being wired up.

Blows that you can't see your ping either.

    Just ok?

I have MSI Hawk 460 SLI and it does extremely well. 1920x1200 Ultra Vsync AAx16 MSAAx2 other settings maxed out It does dip into 30FPS here and there, but mostly 40s-50s. Smaller maps see constant 50-60s.

About to OC my GPUs as well just to see if I can get MSAAx4 to run smoother. But from what I noticed MSaax4 visual difference isn't very significant.

    How does your run?
