So there doesnt seem to be a discount if you already own B2K... that would make sense since most people bought either B2k or BF3Limited.
Any way, I am not interested in CQ and I already own B2k so Fkuc BF3 Premium...
BF3 Dino: i7 2600k, ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, 8GB Corsair, X-25M 120GB, WD 300GB Raptor, 2xEVGA GTX570HD 2.5GB, X-fi Titanium, Antec 1200W.
Monster: i7 930, MSI X58 Platinum, 9GB Corsair, WD 74GB Raptor, WD 2TB, Palit GTX460 1GB, PCP&C 750W.
Beast: AMD4400+, Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, 2GB Corsair, 2x 1TB WD Green Raid0, 2TB WD Green, KFA2 9600GT, Dynex 500W.
Relic: Intel P4 3.2GHz, Asus P4SD-LA, 1.5 GB PC2700, 160GB WD, 120GB Maxtor, ATI 9600Pro, Dynex 500W.

So I log into Battlenet for the first time in a month and I am greeted with "Premium" all over my screen. I think to myself that this must be some kind of joke, and then I click around a little. I got sick to Premium and realized I premium owned B2K why should I premium it again? So then premium and premium wen to the premium premium premium premium. Premium premium premium premium; premium premium premium.

Premium.
Well I played the game last night.... I am going to pick up the premium. Sure, I get back to karkand again, but at least I don't have to worry about purchasing the other expansions and "waiting" for them to be available because premium gets you access to all of the DLCs earlier.
I played around with the SCAR L after someone dropped it. Great gun for medium-long range engagements.
I wonder if there'll be a way to get the Premium pack without Kartland. Wouldn't everyone that per-ordered be paying twice otherwise?
Don't mind the subscription model really...
Q9300 with 4 GB DDR2 1066 RAM
UltraSharp 2408WFP (needs to be RMA'ed) on GeForce GTX 285 on two 18 amp 12V lines
Audigy X-Fi Fatal1ty w/ Logitech Z-5500 & Sennheiser HD 280 Pro and HD 595
plus the usual stuff in a poorly designed Antec P180 PW case
I understand why everyone thinks they're entitled to a discount for already owning karkand, but i understand (and mostly agree with) why they're not giving you a discount.. especially if you pre-ordered it. I mean, you didn't pay extra for Karkand, you got it "for free" by pre-ordering. Whether you would've bought the game at full price without Karkand is a different question. The bottom line is that if you've got Karkand and are thinking about premium, then you need to evaluate its worth as though Karkand wasn't included. If you don't own Karkand already, the deal is a little sweeter.
Personally, I think Premium represents a fair value for the money in terms of the volume of content and extras. I think some of the perks are really lame (queue priority?) and set a bad precedent, but everything else seems reasonable. If people want to pay extra money for 2x XP events and junk like that, let them.. it doesn't make them a better player than me. I've got all the stuff I need unlocked au natural. The real question for me is about the future playability of the game in the long term. If they draw out the expansion pack/DLC releases over the course of the next year or so, theres no way in hell I'll still be playing the game by the time the last DLC comes out.
If it were 6 months ago I'd probably buy Premium. I still want to buy it now but I'm going to be so busy over the next few months I'm not sure it would be worth it for me. And of course if none of the regulars buy it (or at least the expansions individually) we wouldn't be able to all play together.
