The no-Steam Origin exclusive thing really annoys me. I swear is EA is going out it's way to ruin my gaming experience. I might just give up buying new EA games and play all my old games or play the countless single player campaigns I never got around to. I just don't like companies taking away my freedom of choice as a consumer.

EA obviously wants people to install and start using Origin.

They should just make Battlefield 3 $40 on Origin for the first two weeks but still regular price on Steam. Then plenty of people will download Origin to get the cheaper game. And it's still on Steam.

I'd pay 6 times the price NOT to use origin and keep my games on steam.

Yaaa, im gonna have to upgrade if the in game looks anything like these cut scenes.

Me too. I don't have a RAID array but everybody told me you needed a floppy drive for a RAID array so I kept one in my systems in case I ever wanted a RAID array but with my last build I said screw it and threw out the floppy drive.

I remember one system years ago I forgot to connect the floppy drive to the motherboard and it wouldn't even load Windows because ERROR NO FLOPPY DRIVE or something. Now motherboards don't even care if you got no floppy drive.

this was true through winXP.

I just like having things auto downloaded, auto patched and in one place thats easily backed up. Plus steam's community features are nice bonus that I use all the time. I really don't need or want anything.. especially not something that EA is going to foist on me just out of some misguided "me-too" money grab

They should have focused on PC and ditched consoles. I still think the fact that theres console versions is going to n00bify in some way this game.
