I hope the servers will cope with it properly on release date and it's reliable enough.

Working 60's with 2 hours of commute time a day I doubt I'll even play the beta at this point. Still haven't even fired up Dead Island.

Strange that the beta won't be 64 player. They should feel very confident with 32 players because of BC2 but 64 is uncharted territory for the Frostbite engine and the beta is just the place to test that.

THE BUZZ: DICE has released the official entry requirements for early access to the Battlefield 3 beta on each platform.

The beta will run from September 29th – October 10th, however users who brought the Limited or Tier 1 Edition of Medal of Honor, or pre-ordered the game via Origin, will be able to access the beta on September 27th, 48 hours early. Here’s how to access the beta early on each platform if you meet those requirements:

    Xbox 360

You will receive an email with instructions and your personal early access code.

    PlayStation 3

The early access open beta will automatically appear for you in the PlayStation store, if you qualify.

    PC

Medal of Honor owners will receive an email with instructions and your personal early access code.

    Origin Pre-Orders

You will receive an email from EA/DICE with instructions on your early access

I hope they have the right e-mail for my early access as a MOH owner.. that $50 purchase was so worth it! only slightly more than $1/hour of early access, what a steal

    Re: Battlefield 3

Daniel Matros, Community Manager for Battlefield 3, has explained the developers’ reasons behind choosing the Operation Metro map for the beta.

“The Alpha was very important from a server side of view. Now we´re in Beta. Not only does the server side need to be tested but also the complete game client,” he said. This called for the team to pick just one map for the beta, Operation Metro, “we have already showed this map and made some big changes to it to enhance gameplay as well as get it more fluent than in the Alpha.”

He finished by saying, “If you feel that this isn’t the right map for you, then perhaps we don’t really agree on what maps we want to see. Other than that, I do hope people will have a great time playing it and will enjoy the Beta

    WTF does that mean?

sort of. more like "oh you don't like french fries? we like french fries so you should f*$# off

i'm not even sure on what planet the first statement makes sense:

    • The alpha was important from a server standpoint... check
    • Now its about the client so we're limiting the client to only a single map that we already have data for.. does not compute

    Trust me, I do science
