my opinion so far on the gameplay: too much like MOH, not enough like *gasp* BC2. Damage is too high, guns have too much recoil. weapon unlock and customization scheme is whack (separate tech trees for each faction???). Basically I like every single aspect of BC2 better at this point but the visuals. Perhaps it'll grow on me since I'm so used to BC2, but MOH certainly didn't, if thats any indication

When I first loaded up MOH and jumped into the MP, I absolutely HATED it. I loaded it up again 3 weeks later and still hated it. Played the beta today for hours and I love it. Damage is spot on IMO. Once we get the vehicles it'll feel a lot more like BF should. We might get Caspian Border during this beta, zh1nt0 hinted at it on the UK EA forums... but I can't find the link

I didnt pre order, so i have to wait until thursday. Im thinking ill be able to get it from somewhere for less then 60 by release date.

Newegg had it on sale for $48-50 I think 3 times so far. I'd bet they do it at least once more before release.

Caspian Border is in the BF3 Browser. It's a locked(password) server. I've seen 3 or 4 of them and they are 64 man servers. So hopefully they will open them up soon and maybe add some more as most if not all the servers are at capacity.

You must be a COD dude because you obviously don't understand the Objectives.
You cant move form cover to cover without getting killed.
You cant arm/disarm an Mcon without getting killed.
You cant run out and revive a teammate.
You cant run out and plant C4 on a tank.
You cant sit in a stinger to take down a jet.
Therefore all you are left with is.... CAMP.
The damage is spot on for Deathmatch, not Rush or conquest.

I'm assuming you haven't played with some good players on mumble or vent yet.

You cant move form cover to cover without getting killed.
Unlock smoke grenades for Medic or play with medic that has them (me). Problem solved.

Moral of the story is, lets get a game going tonight Frogs! I think with the right teamwork and utilizing the suppressing effect we can prove the damage mechanics are perfect when you are actually playing as a team.

I found that running and direction changes between shots is my best way to stay alive when I find myself without back up. I think that the damage is right on so far

The last I heard was 8am EST. I dont know if that has changed.

I would just like to add in that with my AMD X6 @ 4.0 I was averaging similar numbers to what Ryan was seeing in his day 1 review with my Matrix GTX580
