    steam's a pile of steaming s**t also.
box titles used to mean you didn't need to have something running in the background to authenticate and dl updates.
origin is ofcourse worse with it in your sys tray and browser open taking too much memory. I used chrome since i don't use it only for testing and has no plugins and lowest footprint.

btw the beta for bfbc2 was alot better almost the same as the release.
dice said they were behind a few weeks in the development of bf3 which is code for a few months to me. im sure extra time to get the browser plugin's to work on all browsers. I can say they didn't listen to there community much at all.

Might need an upgrade, either for your computer or you're understanding of modern hardware.

The amount of memory in my machine hasn't been a real concern since bf2 requiring 2gb for smooth play. Memory today is super cheap, there's no reason you should be worried about steam or your browser taking up too much. Even when ff gobbles up close to 2gb I don't worry about closing it before gaming.

I don't think so this early. I suspect at some point on or before Oct 25 you will be notified that the server is active then we can start to figure out how to customize it.

Anyone seen or heard of a decent RCON tool for BF3?

    Protips:
    1) Camp and don't stick your head out. The damage model will allow you to pick off attackers with ease in one shot while remaining hidden

    2) If attacking: use the flashlight. It creates a forcefield around you that deflects bullets as well as burning out the retinas of your own teammates (that means more kills for you!)

    3) If all else fails, find a place that allows you to sink into the floor, you'll be safe there

If you need any more pro-tips, you can reach me at 1-800-OWNDAWG. Consultation services are reasonably priced
