preloaded on Origin this morning.
Well it's installed man I want to play it now. lol
Well Amazon messed up the key distribution this morning but after 4-5 hours it was all sorted out![]()
It was originally thought that if you downloaded from Amazon and then attempted to install it would do another complete 10-11 GB download from Origin. This turned out to be false. It seems if you downloaded from Amazon and installed it did of course fire up Origin but Origin was smart enough to realize the files were already on your hard disk and would finish the install up in just a few minutes. I think the confusion arose from Origin claiming to be "downloading" the game when in fact it was pulling the files off your hard drive.
Since everyone was a bit confused about how the download thing was working on Amazon I decided to just redeem my keys on Origin and download it directly. I figured EA is forcing me to use Origin anyway so it isn't much different. Oh yeah Buu and I also both have the fancy dog tag pack lol.
With my slow 5-6 mbps download it's going to take a while to download 11 GB x 2 but I should be done tonight or tomorrow at the latest. This pre-load was a good idea. I could just imagine the chaos on Tuesday morning of all the hard core BF3 fans freaking out when they didn't get their keys on time or their downloads were creeping along at 50 kbps.
