    Looking for a64 x2 cpus...

Does any1 know of any online stores (ie. newegg) that still carry socket 939 a64 x2 retail cpus? Egg only carries oem cpus and zzf has retail cpus but there like $200.

    Thx

not sure bout the states but in canada they charge more for shipping and prices are higher so i usually avoid them. also they use ups wich is slower than whatever else is there

Those Opterons will work perfect and are great cpu's (also will overclock to+/- 3.0GB. They come with a great heatsink.

Looks like the pipeline is about dry and only oem s939 A64's are left. New Egg has free replacement for 30 days, and cpu's rarely ever fail if they work in the first place. At the price you can't really lose. Of course you have to add a heatsink.
I wouldn't be worried about an oem. I have 3 and they all work just fine.

I've never had trouble with ordering from Tiger Direct in the last 7 years.
I recall seeing the 3800 X2 at TD and I think a 4200 X2 and another site that may have a few X2's is http://www.directron.com/amddualcore.html
