If that 20% deal was still around I would be sooo tempted but I'm not gonna spend the money with Christmas right around the corner. Guess I'll wait until my 7600GT is more obsolete.

Btw, I tried to see how many Dell had in stock by adding 999 to my card but all I got was a total of $259,470.02 LOL

Ok, two weeks after ordering... Dell said the card was supposed to ship today... all I got was an email saying to wait until Dec 19th.

Is Dell really this bad to deal with ? I'll be calling their customer service tomorrow, are they pretty good to work with? I will be expecting them to upgrade me to overnight shipping for free because of these delays.

If you are lucky and get through and they are in a giving mood you may get overnight shipping. I wasn't wasting my breath b/c they seem to lie every time you speak with them.

Thanks for the link zetachi. How can Dell not be completely embarrassed by this? Inventory isn't exactly a difficult concept.

Is this a common practice of theirs?

They did this when the X800XT cards came out a few years ago. Seems they didn't learn a lesson the first time.

Mine still says 12-11 ship date and 12-14/12-18 est. delivery date. I won't hold my breath on this though.

mine was updated over nite to show the new "guestimated" ship date.

Dell seems to be full of s%$^ if you ask me. I'm on the hunt for a new one because I don't expect these to ever ship.

Why would Dell be embarrassed by this? There main business is whole computers.

And I don't understand why people think these companies should kiss there a@#@. Your one person out of millions.

Like I said, Inventory isn't exactly a complicated process nor is doing something when you say you will do it. That should be the source of embarrassment.

Why would I trust this company for any of my needs if they can't even deliver on something so basic? What oversights can I expect in the future? Also, the fact that they notify me on the day it's supposed to ship to me, that it is going to be another week and a half or so until it might ship is also pretty pathetic.

So in a nutshell, yeah, they should be embarrassed. If you need more help in understanding this:

    From their own website-
Dell's success is built on a foundation of personal and professional integrity. We hold ourselves to standards of ethical behavior that go well beyond legal minimums.
    http://www.dell.com/content/topics/g...&s=corp&~ck=mn

Not meeting ones own code of conduct is a clear cut source of shame.
