how to remove the cover and hsf from evga 8800gt

i believe he did actually put the sinks of the other chips, they do require cooling per the reference design.

better safe than sorry.

maybe it is safe not to sink them because they are now in open air where as with the stock sink they wouldn't be.

Yes, as Brandito stated, I did add those other sinks (again, thanks to Brandito for pointing out the need to do so). When I get a chance, I'll post a pic of my card with those sinks on there.

Already posted a pic Marty. It's right above your last post. I also hope you don't mind, I borrowed that pic of yours and used it right here in another thread regarding cooling a GTS 512MB. Just wanted to show him what the card would look like after the VRMS were covered with Ramsinks.
