I bought this NF7-S ver 2 in 2004, and I have not updated the BIOS since. No funky mods, and if it ain't broke don't fix it. I almost tried some of the modded BIOS but I also heard that the Abit BIOS is easy to fubar, so I skipped it. I have a friend in Scotland that is really good at configuring the NF7-S, he scored some of the best scores on Extremeoverclocking.com, if you ever want some advice just check out there socket A stuff in the forums. Have fun !

...so how did the X1650GT turn out? What games (and FPS / resolution) do you get out of it?
I had one of those Timex Sinclair with the chicklets keyboard and a cassette tape for loading programs. Bought it from a friend, but I never got it running. Next PC was an 80286 I purchased from a place I worked. I believe it had a CGA video card but I was able to run the old SSI gold box games on it. The thing was a clone and in a case that could have been used to anchor a modern day cruse ship.
Went from that to an NEC Ready 7022 with a PENTIUM 75. My god I was styling then. Hexon, Heritic, Quake…. Those were the days.
And it was that NEC computer, and it’s lack of upgradeability, that forced me to start building my own systems.
