OCZ2T800C32GK and MSI K9N SLI PLAT.

Does anyone have any exp. with using this mem. ocz2t800c32gk (cas 3, pc6400) with M/B MSI K9N SLI PLATINUM, or have used OCZ mem in a MSI board.
Per OCZ they say no prob. as long as my board will support the volt's, to get this MEM. to crank ya' giving it 2.4v
I am waiting to see what a DIFF. some CAS 3 PC 6400 makes over some no name CAS 5 PC 5300.
My SON got me a kit comming from "N EGG" 2 x 1gb. for $79, cheap, EH.
the MEM that is, GOTTA love the kid.!
He got them for my Birth day, Dec 29.
Feedback anyone?

so many choices on ram these days and yes the prices. due to the headroom on cas 4 ram, i haven't notice to many people chasing the perfect set of ram. the biggest issues have been the spd default vdimm and a board capability of reaching the recommended mem factory vdimm.

quess what, your board can do the 2.3 volts but that's it's max unless a bios change has been made. your going to have to set that manually though.

the machine is definitely going to benchmark much faster.

be interested in hearing how it all turns out. more than likely you'll be our beta tester for the ocz cas 3 ram.

My choices are a bit smaller than most, have a ifx-14 w 2 120mm hung on it, ah, cover's me RAM slots. No can use any of the niffy tall cooling enhanched style, NO EVO, REAPER, DOMINATOR, ect.
I held out on the MEM upgrade till last, wanted cas 3, but was EXPENSIVE at first, the wait may have paid off.

It isnt so much about the benchmark for me, though the fatter the better
I want STABLE, put a bunch of money in ""RIPLEY"" for cooling and as of YET
have not clocked up this thing, did not have the MEM, CK MY SYSTEM, if you have not yet. This MEM HOPEFULLY will like there new home.
Had a thread in COOLING going for a while, PIC"S are there.
Had a 939 based w cas 2.5 ULTRA and KNOW the diff they made
3dmark06 @ 9124 default single 8800gtx, AMD5200+ X-2, current.
Will post link when she get's sorted out, and quite possibly slightly clocked.

Will keep ya' posted, MEM going in early this week, should be here on MONDAY.
Now I start learning about working with the BIOS, going to the SHOP where she was BORN, need HELP with this one.

yeah the mem thing is unreal. kinda of a 2 for 1 half priced sale. by one for half off and get the second for free.


spotted the bald under your screen name. a few weeks ago had to renew the old license and a nice new photo id. told the guy doing damage, that 8 years ago i tried lowering my head to make it look like i had more hair. it didn't work so i was going to keep my head upright this.

OCZ Mem. kit just arrived
No time today to install, it's going in tomorrow morn.
Will post info after install, tweaking, and BENCHING.

Seem's that Wednesday gonna be a FUN day, looking forward to it.

I do have a beard though, sound's backwards, but it works for me!

Real quick, at this since 11:00 am on and off, more on!
I was a noob at clocking, WOW, much to learn.
Got it to run 3dmark 06 @ 9789 spd 475 cas 3, cr 2, had to OC CPU to get it. STABILY PROBLEMS after some testing.
Seem's this board/bios does not respond well to OC the CPU, could not raise FSB, as such ya got the multiplyer locked, no open dividers.
I think that I cannot get enought vlts to cpu, another .5 would do it.

RETURN CPU TO STOCK CLOCK


Came up with these setting's, they kinda weird, BUT , do they work
not in sheer bandwith, but in the seat of the pants, stuff just FLYS by.

SANDRA SOFT, and EVEREST just love the tight timmings, not to forget the LOW LATENCY and CR1 !!!!

GOES LIKE THIS

MEM CLOCK 373
MEM SPEED DDR2-747
DRAM:FSB CPU/7
TIMMINGS 3-5-5-5 CR-1 thats RIGHT T-1, Per EVEREST (stats)

I ran mem test to 700% ZERO ER,
Bench tested, on EVEREST and SANDRA SOFT, PC WIZ 08, 3dmrk06 last.

Please give me some time if ya' want some shot's, don't want ya to think I am full of crap, just tired, and still have more test's I want to run.

THIS STUFF IS FAST, O M G , these settings proved to be STABLE AS A ROCK in my rig, every rig is a bit diff, if ya can get this stuff and get a board thats clock's well, I SHUDDER TO THINK.
My RIG isn't as good as this stuff, LOT'S of untapped headroom.

And the are BLING BLING BLING pretty, absoult SEXY.

Do not know if GOING to go OC much though, need another M/B to do it right.

at this BABY! She be a UT fanatic, loves it. B.T.W. Running at
1900x1200, this game use's lot's of systm, got me a 2.6 dual core and it use's all of it at times, and it chews up the MEM also.

IT IS UNREAL @ 60-69 fps bout 13 bot's trying to kill me THEY DID!!!!!

think your head hurts now? man they got a 100 memory settings. have any aspirations to get into the guiness book of records? but maybe one day you'll get bored or wanta impress momma and do a little oc'n. my msi k8 neo-4 does just fine.
