    When I rebuild may rig I might ditch onboard as well.Ill be using razer piranha headphones and gaming,what card do you guys suggest?I heard xfis wont use EAX 3 in vista,is this true?

    x-fi's are really a pain in the arse, the vista drivers that do support some acceleration dont work as well as the ones for xp.

    my advice is grab an HT Omega card, better drivers and better sound quility!!!! oh yeah and better fetures!!!

    im sure it will come back in stock, that card/chip destroys the x-fi for what it can do and the quility of the audio that it produces, read reviews of the auzentech x-meridian(disscontinued due to contract with creative to make cards using the x-fi chip)

    its honestly the best value in that price range.

    i been using in realtek hd audio with EQ tweaks and its far better after i dumped the orignal drivers and grabbed the current ones, really sounds quite good compared to what u would expect.
