I don't think you can tell what is hardcore and what isn't from the server browser

Only way to tell is if the name says Hard Core. But it is defiantly fun. The guns aren't as nerfed in HC.

LOL I played a couple of early rounds then left. I was quite surprised to find guys still playing at 10:30 so I jumped in for another hour I have to say when we had BF2142 on the schedule turnout was never this good or this long. We may have another keeper here.

Only servers that elect to have their stats monitored show up according to stuff I've read. not even sure how it works since personal stats are stored on the local PC. It must send some file to the game server, which in turn sends that info somewhere for the siggy to update. But as you can see mine is not very updated since my rank as Brigadier general does not show.

be really nice if stats were centrally stored. i dislike that they're kept locally on your machine, this creates problems if you don't back up your game folder regularly and also gives hackers a chance to artificially rank themselves up to gain an edge over everyone else with the "perks"

not sure if hackers have already found a way to rank themselves up but i'm sure they're working on it, especially in such a popular game.

i'm thinking this will be addressed at some time with a patch, something to track stats using a centralized stats server.

if you're gonna do ranks and stat tracking you really should do it right from the start.
