Were do you buy your cables?

Since I moved up to HDMI now, notice many different pricing and ratings for HDMI cables.

Have not needed new cables in like 3 years so were I use to get cables seems pricey.

Any online stores or chain stores you can recommend also any favorite HDMI cables for 6' length?

Monoprice. Dont spend more than $10 for an HDMI cable, waste of money.

Was looking and I figured I should get "HDMI 1.3b" cables

I found them for around $35.

The site you list is over $10 for 6ft cables also (with 1.3a cables) if higher quality

Re: Were do you buy your cables?

Ok so if Monoprice seems to be favorite, what about the version??

Like I said I see that Monoprice sells UPTO 1.3a HDMI, should I wait until 1.3b is available there or just get 1.3a?

I see at wikipedia.org that 1.3a is the first version that is "CEC commands" I so not see or found the major difference from 1.3a and 1.3b.

Monoprice is where I go. The expensive cables are only an issue for long runs 6' and more) and in wall installation. Even then, I would get monopirce's top o' the line long before Monster cables.

The 1.3b are only needed for high bandwidth stream outputs, as would be seen during a 1080p stream with one of he newest fully uncompressed audio formats if passed on to a receivr. Don't sweat it.

Re: Were do you buy your cables?

    Thanks.

    Ordered two of these:

    HDMI 1.3a Category 2 Certified Cable 28AWG - 10ft w/Ferrite Cores (Gold Plated) - BLACK

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

Since they are Cat2 certified I can install them in the wall later if I want.

Re: Were do you buy your cables?

These are what I had to get to view my new TV. The old(er) HDMI cables (free from Comcast) wouldn't work at all...for either my PC or Cable DVR. I was in a quandry till I found these.

I looked at lots of places, after you count shipping...you can't beat MonoPrice.

Man, someone really needs to launch a class action lawsuit against Monster. They even sell over priced DVI cables, the kind that comes free with any LCD monitor.
