If the shaders will take another 10% safely then hell yes I'll do it. But I'm thinking the shaders must start starving of something the GPU clock generates at some point, at which point it cain't put out no mo. Gotta get this figured out.

Depending on how much you skwint or round numbers both of mine are 9.5 - 10% over on the shaders.

The only yield improvement comes from bumping up the shader clocks !

Best to leave the GPU clocks alone; it 's not because the shader clocks of the card are running at a higher rate that the GPU couldn't 'follow' anymore.
These cards are not running like you were Gaming with them; since others are running them like this (OC'ed for GPU-Folding) it proves that the GPU clock doesn't matter and that the GPU won't get choked from running the shaders faster than stock.
It 's a totally different kind of job they are doing

    It 's a better job too !
It will benifit much more people

    Keep 'em HOT

    Re: Milestone Thread.

Okay, will try stock GPU (626) and up the shaders (stock is 1350) another 5% to 1555. Frankly, I don't think they'll make it to 1555, no way to +20%, which would be 1620.

If it won't take that then the card just doesn't have enough headroom left to make overclocking them worth enough to make a meaningful difference and I'll start peddling them off to get 285 SC's or something. Maybe wait for next gen. I eagerness to jump into GPU folding again, and overclocking again, egged me on to a questionable purchasing decision.

Didn't make it beyond an even 1500 shaders with stock 626 GPU clock without EUE's and driver test failures in EVGA Precision. So much for that. It'll have to do for now. Still quite worth the money for what they return, IMHO. But with prices coming down the way they are now, better to spend a lil bit more and go for 275 unless your really strapped for cash.

You mean electrical power in the apartment or building?
Not much ya can do about that, I mean in practical terms.
    Better to move.
