Indeed, we update (edit + new date) the first post from time to time; to get it back 'up' in the forum, I then add a new post at the end ...

Just passed 4 million, didn't even notice it coming. Seems like I was crossing 1 million a few days ago. Doesn't seem that long ago I was happy with 200 ppd. Feel like I have a chunk of IBM's network at 20,000 ppd

    'Sall GPU

Not time for a Bonus Points Rave but it's getting close.

1 SMP core is worth 5 times 1 core, 1 GPU core is worth 7 times that. I sure hope the work is moving forward faster somewhere close to that.

Dang I know the 1888 work units need to be done and they do add up in pts (just turned over 3.1 mil ) but it takes forever to build up WUs with 'em!

The GPU's will help make up for it. It's the main advantage in folding both types. Like I tried to say in my last post in my learning to OC the 260 thread.

    Re: Milestone Thread.

I had one (of three) GPU clients repeatedly barf up p5697's last night. I'd clean up the usual way, it would go get another of the same, and barf all over again. Did this 3 or four times to make sure the reason was the same every time. Something too many EUE's in a row, or similar. So I thought, well crap, must be this one particular card doesn't like the 10% OC on the GPU so I'll back that off to stuok 626. That did the trick. Left the shaders at 1500, no more trouble. So, these little 260/216 cards are a lil bit more touchy than I thought. The other two machines haven't complained despite getting same or very similar work units. Case closed for now, but I really wonder now if the 275 and 280 models are this finicky.

AND, is this another indication that its better to leave the GPU clock alone and just bump the shaders until they can't take it any more???
