    Have 2gb, need 4gb - suggestions?

I've got 2x1gb right now of some Buffalo Firestix D9GMH goodness (see sig) and want to pick up another 2x1gb. I've got the cpu o/c'ed, but don't really plan on running the ram at much higher than 400mhz (firestix can run 500mhz with 5-5-5-15), so I don't need any serious overclocking ram. I'd just like to get a set for less than $50 and be able to run them at 400mhz with 4-4-4-12 timings. A little headroom for some o/c'ing would definitely be nice in case I want to max out the ram frequency later, but it is not a requirement. What would be a good match for my firestix these days?

Actually for compatibility and stability reasons the best thing you can do is to just get another 2Gb set of what you have now!
You do realize that in running a 32bit OS you're not going to be able to use ALL 4Gb, you're probably going to see 3.2 to 3.5 of that installed 4Gb memory.

it's always a gamble. a 2x2g set isn't all that much more and no headaches. you will have to settle for cas 5 to get them at a reasonable price.

these run 2.1v/cas 4 and will do 500 plus with cas 5 settings.
