already tried the 5000 in the 560 with no improvement over the 364htt that i had with the 3600 and that was because of him shaking 375 a few days later. now he's got it to 450.

A few other toys on Friday for a new computer. I'm going to sell the AMD board/build after I get to play with it some(OC), to work or a co-worker.

Unfortunately my chip RMA will not be back till late next week.

Ram was ebay, that stuff is hard to find now. $60.00 shipped. 2x1g

I'm keeping the x3 770 combo. I like it and I don't feel like reloading my vista machine its just perfect

Yes. 19.99 is a great price. The sale is till 8/31.

Just be aware the AMD clip like the vendetta 2 points the fan toward the top of the case on the 770 or 790gx biostar boards. I'm sure OCZ used them as manufacturer.

that's the problem with that style. the s clip for the thermalrights solved that problem for them.

vnf4 set up was nice.

Well my OC is progressing but I have a few issues.

First the positive:

Booted @ 2520 or 240mhz HTT today. 1/2 way through wprime I locked. I'm sure I need to add some more volts but without the new cooler I'm not going to do it.

Second: ???

I am OCing straight push right now because to set back the HT my choice is 1.8 the next lowest setting is 1ghz.

I think 1ghz HTT may effect speed but I haven't tested yet. The northbridge has a bunch of options.

I'm going to ask poly if his newest bios for the 770 gives me the option for a between HT setting.

The 770 is a weird board because it takes so much time rebooting between bios changes, you almost think it has hung but then boom your firing up.

that guy running 3.2 on air is making me want to find another cooler.

during normal operation my ecs 770 hits the first dos screen and in the blink of an eye is gone. i put a nvidia vid card in with a bios screen so i know when it's coming.

Under load is about 45 C for the CPU, but the cores get to 58 C!

I have decided to take the tri-core and throw it in the 790GX. I am donating my mini-ninja for the build so temps shouldn't be a problem. I hate mounting that cooler this will be the last time

I am going to sell the 790 GX to work or a co-worker. I bought a 3450 to test hybrid crossfire.

So my 770 will get the new 5000+ black and the new cooler

it's been a couple wild and crazy weeks but things are back to normal. we can't be expected to hold up pcper.
