That's a step up from my ziplock bag with a USB-IDE adapter.

I wonder if they'll release a eSATA version to reduce the USB transfer bottleneck.

Then it would probably look awesome with one of those HDDs with a little window on it.

It sounds like an interesting device. It’s not truly an original idea as there have been cables that connect SATA to USB in fact I own one. It is however a new way of packaging it and it looks to be well thought out and a lot more convenient than my old cable system was.

I like the design of this a great deal and will likely purchase one as I can see it’s benefits.

    holy jesus.
    baby jesus
    allmighty!

I've been looking for this type of "open enclosure" for YEARS.
Can't believe nobody's thought of that, like laptop docking stations (ex: DELL).
    This will be amazing

either winning it here or buying it... this will ROCK my world as a tech wiz...

Cool Re: Thermaltake BlacX SATA HDD USB Dock Review - and win one!!

I almost bought one from Newegg, but the lack of eSata support stopped me, but After reading Ryan's review, I still might get one, even if I don't win this one

    *Drops name in hat*
I've been waiting for a review of this to come out. Do you know when the USB hub version comes out? I didn't notice a date on their site last time I checked. Also, about how much more will it cost? The only thing that kept me from buying the review one weeks agos, was seeing the USB hub version after checking up on their site, but I couldn't buy it cause their online shop is broken

What do I use my 1.5TB of space for? Well it isn't really 1.5TB it's more like 1.3TB, and that's much less space than 1.5TB.
