Count me in, but felt I needed to read the article and attempt to make a meaningful post.

Great review and you're absolutely correct.... "This one of those "why didn't I think of this before" products."

That unit would work great with an testing station like my Tech Station.

Thanks again for the review and oppertunity.

I agree! Showing off a Raptor X in one of these nifty devices would be very nice indeed.

Thanks for the review, Ryan. I didn't know something like this existed. I was thinking about getting a larger external drive for my backup needs; this dock is a much better solution, no worries about heat build up since the drive is fully exposed to the air, plus you can use multiple hard drives and just swap them out at need. Very useful and very cool - and not expensive, either!

i do also very much like the idea, however..... With so many internal harddrives that will start to just lay around peoples rooms, some one needs to come up with a hard drive wallet (like for cd's but only for 3.5" internal drives)

They have those, they are called Full Tower Cases !

Sign me up for the contest. That is a very cool idea, much better than the cases you have to open and try and wedge the drive in.

This is a really good product.
It would be a great product if they added eSata.
It would be a really great product if they added eSata and Firewire.

I currently have and eSata and USB 2.0 external Hard Drive.
This would be a welcome addition.

    Hi, quick question!

Does this have automatic power off when you shut down or put to sleep the computer? I leave my extra drive in the back of the desk or hidden, because my HTPC is very quiet and this HDD outside makes much more noise than the whole PC, so it's annoying to have to reach to power it off.

I'll be happy to take it for free, though.

    Thanks!
