Well what a shock, I don’t disagree with VRP on this issue. I think there are obvious reasons why Intel would want to push Ray Tracing and multiple CPU solutions as opposed to GPU solutions. I guess my answer would be that until I can see it demonstrated as being a better, and more cost effective way to render graphics I will judge it to be inferior to our current GPU controlled methods.
Might Ray tracing be the answer in the future…. Perhaps but it would certainly narrow our options and cut down on competition, and we all know what happens then.
