9800 GTX or Dual HD 3870s?

I'm having a little trouble deciding where to go with this for my next system. I have around 300 to spend on the video card(s). I can either go with one 9800 GTX, or two Radeon HD 3870's in Crossfire mode. To put it bluntly, which is going to give me generally better performance?

I'd say the 9800GTX will give you the overall better performance as it beats the HD 3870 X2 in most tests. It's also cheaper than either two HD 3870's or an HD 3870 X2.

Definitely a 8800gts or 9800gtx over the 3870x2.

Any of the multigpu configs are going to be limited by driver support and then allot of games simply don't benefit enough from a multi gpu config to begin with.

I've got 2 9800GTX's and I can say that even with only one of them the gaming experience is pretty sweet....not to mentiong they can OC like mad.
