Curious to see what your thoughts are on this card - its the first dual-GPU 3850 to hit our labs and we are kind of excited by what we have seen so far.

Could be a good thing if the benchmark numbers support the price. I'm thinking more GPU vendors should take this route. SLI is not what it used to be. The FPS increase is just not worth the price in most cases. I remember how disappointed I was the first time I bought a dual GPU on one card solution.. it was an ATi Rage Fury Maxx. I thought for sure the voodoo 5 5500 was going to be the start of something good. Lets hope it sticks this time around. looking forward to the full review.

Remember that its 512MB per GPU - so its just like having two HD 3850 512MB cards in CrossFire mode.

Nice! I heard about these coming in, but I didn't know they'd show up so fast. The 3800 series has been one of the best ATI releases, IMO, and it's just getting better with these cheap X2 options. I especially like the price/performance/thermal aspects of the cards.
I'd imagine that this card would have no trouble walking over the 9800GTX in most of the benches, and you should see FPS jumps in games where you'd need it. I might buy it if I didn't have an FX board with a 3870 already. It would just make more sense for me to plug in another 3870.
An interesting card. I wasn’t expecting it to be that fast. Is it worth 140 bucks more than I paid for my X3870 when it first came out? Hard to say because what I really want to see is how well it scales in actual games .
