you said that the card was really dirty? could have been overheated for too long and it hurt the electronics.

you could possibly try an rma, but might be more worth your while to upgrade to a newer card.

i'd personally still rma the card, a 6800gt is a fine backup card.

then again you have agp, not a good situation to need a new video card. getting harder and harder to find agp video cards and agp is getting long in the tooth. might be time for a system overhaul.

I put in my friends 4200 and had the same driver issues as before but when it booted up it didn't have the lines. I deleted the old drivers and got the new card to work.

Is it possible to get a replacement on my 6800gt? It's like 3 years old but I spent like 400 on it!

On a side note I have 1 gig (2x512) Corsair value select ram, should I put that in with my 2 gigs of other ram?

It's another gig but i was told that the timings would be off.
