ASUS Rampage Formula - Do I need to update the BIOS?

I haven't bought this yet, but if I plan on using the Intel Quad Core Q9450 on this motherboard, do I need to update the BIOS?

Asus are showing support with bios 0108

This is no longer listed on the Asus bios download page, but I would guess it's a fairly early bios or the release bios since it's the only bios listed for all the cpu's

This board would either come with BIOS version 0219 or 0308, right?
    I don't understand your post.

    More than likely.
Bios 108 or higher is needed for the cpu you are looking at, and I would guess it may have been first release bios.

You wont need a BIOS update because like CMB said the CPU is supported by that board from day one.

If you however want to update the BIOS anyway (and that might be wise if you want to overclock) you can do it real easy using ASUS EZ Flash. You can just put the new BIOS in a usb stick and you can get into EZ Flash by pressing ALT + F2 or by going into the BIOS and starting EZ Flash, it's located under tools.
    Overclocking system:
    ASUS Rampage Formula (BIOS 0403)
    Xeon x3350 SLAX2 @ 8x475=3.8Ghz 1.29Vcore
Dual Radiator (modded) Koolance EXOS with Zalman WB5 CPU block
    2 x 2GB OCZ Platinum PC8000 @ 950Mhz 5-5-5-18 1.8v
    Enermax NoiseTaker 600W
    ASUS GeForce 8800GTX @ 645/1645/1000
