Old video game consoles - SNES, N64, Sega Genesis

    - Nintendo SNES with 3 controllers and these games:
    • Kirby Superstar
    • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
    • Super Mario All Stars
    • X-Kaliber 2097
    • Super Bomberman 2
    • X-Men Mutant Apocolypse
    • Super Off Road - The Baja
    • Best of the Best Championship Karate
    • Samurai Shodown
    • Legend of the Mystical Ninja
    • Spiderman Venom Maximum Carnage
    • Donky Kong Country 3
    • Street Fighter 2

    - Nintendo 64 with controllers and these games:
    • James Bond 007
    • Wave Racer
    • Star Wars FPS (I can't remember the exact name)

    - Sega Genesis with 2 controllers and these games:
    • EA Sports FIFA Intenational Soccer
    • NFL Football 94
    • EA Sports NBA Live 95
    • Sonic 2
    • Spiderman
    • Activision Pitfall-The Mayan Adventure
    • Accolade Hardball
    • Zoop
    • Davis Cup Tennis
    • World of Illusion (Disney)
    • Predator 2

I'm not sure of the condition. I mean the consoles all work but some of the games don't start up. I'm guessing the slot and cartridges just need to be cleaned. I don't know how to clean them so I never have.

    Any estimates?

You can clean the cartridges with a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol. You wouldn't believe how much dirt/dust accumulates on them. You really can't clean cart slots, but if other games load on them just fine, then just concentrate on cleaning the games.

Can you post the titles of the games?

i assume the star wars game is shadows of the empire.

what country is your genesis made in and is it the model with or without the headphone jack? also, does it come with the official ac adaptor and the a/v cables or rf switch? are the a/v cables stereo or mono only?

Is all that really necessary to determine an approximate value?

it doesn't determine value, but i would still let the user know what model they're buying.

I apologize for giving my advice.

VRP, I know you're into the older consoles. Want to take a shot at estimating a value on any of those?

I think $200-$300, 29 games at $5 each + $50 for each console. Thats if everything is in great condition. Thats just my opinion though, i am no expert.

    BF3 Dino:
    i7 2600k, ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, 8GB Corsair, X-25M 120GB, WD 300GB Raptor, 2xEVGA GTX570HD 2.5GB, X-fi Titanium, Antec 1200W.
    Monster: i7 930, MSI X58 Platinum, 9GB Corsair, WD 74GB Raptor, WD 2TB, Palit GTX460 1GB, PCP&C 750W.
    Beast: AMD4400+, Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, 2GB Corsair, 2x 1TB WD Green Raid0, 2TB WD Green, KFA2 9600GT, Dynex 500W.
    Relic: Intel P4 3.2GHz, Asus P4SD-LA, 1.5 GB PC2700, 160GB WD, 120GB Maxtor, ATI 9600Pro, Dynex 500W.

you'd sell quicker at $5 per game, although you may be able to sell the n64 games for closer to $8 each but that will only give you a few more dollars.

The genesis and super nes you can't sell at $50 each like the previous poster said. New NES/Super NES combos can be found new for about $50, even though they're fake.

I don't think an n64 would sell very quickly for $50 by itself. I guess you could ask 50-60 for the n64 and the games.

The kirby game might be a "treasure" see below; however I don't think any of the others are considered so by collectors for sure, even though some are pretty good/great imo=]

i should note that there is a super nes kirby game that's a "treasure" and that might be the one. look on ebay to see how much people are selling that one for. If it's a "treasure" it's worth well more than $5.

thought about goldeneye again, you might, possibly be able to sell that for up to $25 but i'm not really sure. maybe more like 10 or 15, but possibly a little more or a little less. I think it's about to be on xbox live though. won't be on the vc.

you may also be able to sell the many of the super nes games at $7 each now that i think about it.

maybe $7 for world of illusion, but joe montana 94 sold for 9 cents 8 years ago, so the genesis games maybe worth a little less than $5 each on average.

Ok that's good info. I do need to check ebay - that's always a good way to measure the market value for something. Thanks a bunch
