I dunno....it looks pretty freeeeeekin sweet to me
At $200 more than the air cooled card it better be. For a $50 block you can get the same performance

Even one of the full cover EK blocks for around 2/3 of the extra $200....
And they have full cover ATI blocks too....

After researching the blocks for vid cards, it seems that if you want to really get a "full coverage block" like one of the EK's, you actually have to buy both the gtx 280 block as well as the "backside block," which combined would cost just as much.

I'm just gonna sit and wait and see what the diamond xoc h20 edition of the 4870x2 is gonna cost before I make my decision.

Wouldn't worry about a full coverage block. It can only fit a limited number of cards (and often not the next generation) and performs no better while adding a bunch of weight to the case.
Maybe the block you are looking at is different but usually it is "complete"

    Re: Watercooling suggestions please

With the power needs of the newer cards, as well as the Gpu waterblock and ramsinks used on the earlier cards you'll need a cooling solution for the power mosfets too, earlier cards could use some small passive heatsinks but the newer cards can be more difficult due to the chip layout and location plus the height of nearby components,
Have a look here at the way the mosfets are arranged on a 260 card:

A good alternative would be something like DTek's "Uni-Sink" in combination with their Fusion Gpu block, at least that way if you upgrade the card it may only need another ramsink to go with the original Gpu block:

The DFI board I have actually has a really cool heatpipe mechanism that connects the mosfets to the NB to the SB. The nb heatsink unclips and folks over at dficlub have found excellent results with just clipping the mcw30 nb waterblock onto the northbridge, allowing it to effectively cool the entire setup.

Here's a pic of the mobo and you'll see what I'm talking about:

EDIT whoops you were talking about gpu mosfets....my bad LOL

    Nice!

I keep hoping to see more WC + heatpipe setups. It seems ideal to me to make a waterblock for GPUs with several connection points for heatpipes, and a low-cost heatpipe harness for each video card. Same waterblock for every card, all the benefits of full coverage, and migrating to a new card costs less than a heatpipe air cooler.
That's a sweet rig in your sig, but does it fold?

Seriously it's a nice case, but they seem waaaaay proud of it.

Well the case retails for about $275, the Feser Quad is about $160, and the shroud is about $40. So basically they are charging about $300 for the labor of cutting the hole in the top of the case and re-arranging the ports. Seems a bit steep.
