I installed 2nd sata hard drive, how do I format& add files to it? For example

    dmesg | tail

Find the device name of your new hard drive (eg. sdc). Then

    fdisk /dev/sdc

type "n" to create new partitions (type "m" to list all the commands). After partitioning,

    mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdc1

to format the first partition in ext3 filesystem. Now create a mount point (basically a folder), then mount the new partition

    mount -t ext3 /mnt/<your mount point> /dev/sdc1
