    Unhappy sb_pwr flashing, comp not turning on

    Hi guys, im having this prob with my comp. basically, what happened was, I had just finishe using it so I turned it off. And the next morning when I turned it on it was dead, no sound, no bleeps, no fans nothing. The nly thing I noticed was the sb_pwr light flashing

    The comp has been working like a dream for the past six months and now this

    So ive al ready tried the following things

    • Check plug fuse
    • Change cable
    • Replace psu
    • Check cables are in place
    • Replace mobo battery
    • Replace cpu
    • Clear cmos
    • Connect and disconnect components
    • Clean
    • Check front panel switches, and conections to mobo
    • Replace cpu fan

    So now im left dazed , as I cant figure it out, if anyone can help me I will be extremely gratefull

    Oh yeah and this the spec

    • Asus m2n32 sli deluxe wifi edition
    • Amd athlon x2 5000+ black edition
    • 2 x corsair xms2 1gb ram
    • 2 x Kingston 512mb ram
    • Maxtor 500gb sata
    • Seagate 160gb sata
    • Pny 7600gt 256m Gcard (I know, old)
    • Asus chassi
    • Xilence cpu fan
    • Seasonic 450w psu
    • Sony dvd drive
    • Lite on dvdrw drive



    UPDATE

    alright if took it outta the case and its powered up, so im getting some better risers, and putting it back in, fingers crossed it should work

    The Sb_power led flashing on the motherboard usually indicates that the stand-by power ( 5v) is not in spec probably low. Which would mean that you can't power the board up.
    Was it still flashing with different power supply ?
    Have you tried taking the mobo out of the chassis and powering it up on a non-conductive surface ? ie a piece of wood or cardboard ( do not use the mobo anti-static bag)

    You can also unplug mem, cards, all usb devices etc and see if you get a steady sb-power light

    I would try resetting cmos first.
