    GA-MA78G-DS3H Won't Run OCZ PC8500 Right

    Hi

I posted a problem with my memory on my new set-up I built today I am having problems trying to get my OCZ Reaper to run at 1066mhz the CPU supports it and the motherboard. Right here's my original thread from the memory section http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.p...=1#post4330700

I have managed to get it to run at 800mhz the memory as stated in my other thread I am assuming at 400/800mhz its running memory volts at 1.8v. To get 1066mhz or 533mhz/1066 CPU-Z 1.49 reports it must have a 2.1v how do I get to change it up I know where to run the multi I just switch it from current 4.00 to 5.33.

There is a memory volt bit at the bottom of the BIOS it goes up with 0.1v, 0.4v etc would upping volts by 0.4 be safe I am baffled my last rig was a 939 X2 and the BIOS had hardly nothing.

I would suggest not going by cpu-z voltages, it is inaccurate. If your bios says when you first boot it 1066 ram then it is running @1066. I would say from my experience set it to 5:33 and leave the voltage alone and report back.

I did what you said before hand and it wouldn't work kept giving me BSOD's so after upping the voltage to 2.1v sorting out the timings it's working perfectly I've also set it to unganged mode as well.

glad you got it. i was just coming to go over what you had done up til now and then suggest what you ended up doing.

i had forgotten i had 1066 mem in my quad rig and had never tried setting it up that way. i had been using the memory for high htt & fsb with dual cores. then i moved the crucial tracers for the lights. i just assumed it wasn't going to work correctly from what i had read.
