the 7750 is a tad bit slower than the e8500 in 3dmark vantage and crysis,s
crysis- e8500-36.21
7750- 30.44
3dmark vantage-
e8500-9312
7750-8698
from these benchmarks- i would say that its faster than the amd 6000, in one review, it just beat out the 6000 ...the 7750 won a couple more benmarks than the 6000....will be interesting to see how it performs with amd ups the mhz,z on the phenom x2 in 2009, and also the 45mm cpus come on line...the 7750 is considered a mainstream, budget entry.

Assuming it's a Barcelona core with 2 disabled CPUs, it should offer the same clock for clock performance as the Pneom X3/x4s in single/dual threaded apps. If memory serves me right, barcelona has a 20% advantage per clock over K8, and Deneb will have a 15% advantage over Barcelona.
I wounder if the L3 cache is present or not in this new CPU.
Yes it is, 2 MB of it...
Damn. And I just spent 68$ on a 4850e last week. Oh well, teh TDP of 95W is a bit high anyway for my needs.
95W TDP kinda sucks indeed. I'd consider one if it was 45nm and ~45W, like the Intel CPUs. I might consider a 45nm Phenom if they ever arrive.
From what I've read, yes, it's a full K10 with 2 disabled cores. The TDP is probably exaggerated, though I guess some tests would confirm what it's really like (I think Xbit has a review up). Regardless, these are BE models, which means easy overclocking via the multi. The review I saw had it hit 3.2ghz, so it might be a toy worth considering.
here is a fairly good review on the x2 7750-

Bah... two years late. Finally a true competitor for Conroe.
well I was thinking of getting this but now I see it is just a quad core with 2 cores disabled . Something about that just does not sit right with me

Seeing as my 6000+ brisbane is running at 3503Mhz this would be a step backwards. AMD really needs to get their stuff together if they're going to catch up with Intel
