Great to see a more reputable company (at least in my book) pick up the ATI lineup.

However I still find myself on the fence as far as buying another 48xx series card if they can't release better drivers. Just about every other driver update fubars my vista32 htpc rig to the point it almost seems like it would be easier to reinstall the OS than jump through the hoops trying to get things working right again.

    Too cool.

I love my XFX cards, but hate that they were only nVidia. Been waiting a long time for an ATI from them

Has anyone had any contact with XFX support?

Are they timely with graphic card replacements?

Mine hits 80 degrees Celsius under full load and then hangs up.

Ambient system temperate is at 37 degrees.

Thanks for the link! Noticed that they're site says it might take up to 72 hours for the first response.

I wonder why there's no toll free number for a GFX company that's number 1 in Europe (read this somewhere on this forum).

    Thanks again.

It's awesome that they are diversifying.

Thumbs down XFX Five Star Support!

Thanks for the Bjorn3D link. Their site really makes me appreciate PCPer so much more. This site really looks nice and the ads are not everywhere. And we always have dozens of active users in every thread!

Regarding the XFX thread - prompt replies from users, but nothing from their support site. It's been five days since submitting a "ticket" without any responses. The cards going back to NewEgg. It's starting to crash more often.

I will never touch XFX ever again. Bummer, I got the card at such a good price!

I wonder how their ATI cards will do. Don't the current models generally run a bit higher?

Sorry to hear it. Back when I had my 7950GT AGP 2 years ago they were on the ball. Good luck.

Good to see more card manufacturers making ATI products. Wish EVGA and BFG can also join the group.

On those pictures, why does 4850 seem to have better cooling than 4870?

Two bad cards in a row and both were from RMA, no recent reply for latest support ticket. Not sure what is going on with them, the first ticket was taken care of quickly last fall. Maybe they are training to support the newer cards and are just busy !

Re: XFX Radeons to be Available January 5th - yeah, that soon.

    It's been a week exactly.

I think they're trying to shed their new customer base.

Two RMAs in a row? I hope they paid shipping for the last one!

But, that's really good news that a big manufacturer is making them too. I barely had ever heard of the current ATI manufactures! And I thought Diamond went dead a decade ago!
