Re: Problem formatting with ASRock motherboards

I don't remember if a ddo was put onto the drive.

I have tried to download DiskWizard floppy version but have not been able to do so yet.

If I try to format my 80gb hard disk drive it reports as being only 10,031 mb??

    Help !!

You could low level format (zero) the drive with Sea Tools, DBAN or Kill Disk DOS freeware.
Then you should be able to format any way you want.

Have you tried deleting the Partition and then recreating and formatting? Or will it not let you do that either?

I also have found Partition Magic to be a very useful tool. I also have Partition Commander but prefer Partition Magic.

Typically an 80gb drive is actually 74gb, and fdisk can be -64gb under-reporting, so could show ~10gb.
What does your bios report the size as ?
