Unfamiliar with Intel chipsets? Look here

My understanding is the Staff set up this forum for a variety of reasons. One of which was to help members of AMDMB who had an Intel system get information and help.

I know when I looked at Intel boards I knew AMD/VIA and AMD/nvidia inside and out. But I had no idea what the different Intel chispets offered as far as features, performance, and industry standards.

If any of you browsing through this forum are in the same boat I was, the following links may be helpful to ya:

Actually I havent used the utility yet. Theres still bugs in the software and it installs a nasty non WHQL driver for the SMBUS device that may change its IRQ.

Once Intel improves the software I may flash to the latest BIOS and give it a try. For now it seems doing any mild overclocking is fine the old fashioned way - through the BIOS

yeah, after a while I found that MSI's overclocking utility in windows is of no use at all, incredibly buggy, now making use of the BIOS to overclock, cheers big ears
