I think we broke Seti. I haven't been getting any new work for several hours and the server status page has not updated in 2.5 hours. And the beast has run out of work.

Yeah, I just checked all rigs. And no work avail. on all of them. Server is showing 50k wu`s up for grabs, but that info is over 1hr. old. Plus it`s showing wu creation at only 3/sec. Way to slow to keep up to demand. On a good note. Seti finally cash some of the pending credits. 19k from yesterday till right now.

Maybe we should add a back up project in the future, for times like these. Is Seti still doing that weekly outage for maintenance on Mondays deal?

You guys are going to get a break. I'm fed up with the lack of work available and will put all my GPU's back on GPUGrid on Thursday. That should let some of you shine as my CPU power is limited.

I'm sure it will turn around soon... and hope it does. You are tossing out some nice numbers!

After having thought about it over night, I've decided to leave the GPU's on Seti but I will turn GPUGrid back on. My problems are that Seti can not keep up with the demand and they have half of the splitters turned off. The also have a 100 WU per cpu limit. This is fine for cpu crunchers but just doesn't cut it for Gpu's. Using my beast as an example, it is a quad so I can get 400wu's a day. If it was just using the cpu this would be fine as it takes between 1 and 3 hours to finish. If you look at the GTX260's they take between 1 and 3 minutes to finish the same wu. Now multiply that times 3 (3 gpu's in this machine) and you should start to see where the problem is. All in all, I don't think Seti was ready for the large influx of computing power that running Cuda made available and most importantly they don't seem to care. I'm starting to remember why I left Seti in the first place.
