    Have wireless heaphones progressed any?

Don't get me wrong,i thoroughly like my sennheiser headphones reccommended to me here awhile back,but...

I get tired of tripping over headphone wires trying to move about, and they get hung up on my desk chair ALL the time!

The ideal wireless option i am looking for will be good for both pc and tv,..if it exists and at an earthbound pricetag.

I tried 2 radio shack option(over a span of time) awhiles and they were crap for pc,decent for tv and lasted shortly.

I tired the long time ago logitech wireless headset(the name escapes me)but they were great for both but had a flaw with the headset cracking in the middle(even the set logitech replaced). Now they have the similar looking Free Pulse set.Are these any good?

Just would like to know, cause this drives me nuts.I can't afford alot, but maybe i can work towards something, thanks

It appears I'm looking for something similar to you. Did you ever get a set of those Free Pulse? Have you been happy with them?

Me, I'm looking for something wireless, but preferably not Bluetooth. Reason being I'm running Linux and am afraid that they wont work (I can't get my Bluetooth keyboard/mouse to run in Bluetooth mode since the USB dongle doesn't work with Linux - thus mouse wheel, and extra media buttons don't work).

If I could simply plug the headphones into my stereo and have it wireless transmit 20ft to my couch without spending an arm or a leg I will be happy.

I've been eyeing off Sennheiser RF Wireless headphones for some time now, but now they've been superceded by a new range of out that look way better than the RF Wireless 'phones. Wireless Kleer. My problem is that I don't like buying 'phones without trying them first and unfortunately very few places keep wireless 'phones in stock Until I get around to trying some wireless ones out, I'll stick to my 6M extension lead - long enough to reach the fridge With the Sennheiser RF or Kleer ones, I could take the garbage out and not miss anything

So their Kleer line uses digital signals to transmit to the headphones? Cool.

I was looking at some of their lower products (RS116 and RS120) on line. The RS120 was getting bad reviews for comfort, but the RS116 was getting decent reviews.

Now I'm curious to find somewhere around here that sells their Kleer line. Going to keep my eyes pealed for those.

The biggest problem I have with most of the reviews/write ups on these type of headphones say they are ideal for TV or MP3 players. Um, why would they use those inferior standards to advertise their products? Can they not stand up to CD/DVD/Blueray quality? Yeah, my hearing has never been good but even I can spot an MP3 from an original work in my car.

My home stereo isn't anything great, so I doubt I'll be able tell the difference with it, but still wouldn't want to loose any sound if possible.

Yeah comfort is a big issue for me too. As is the sound it produces. I don't tend to read reviews about headphones. Ultimately it's my ears that will make the final judgement. I'm tipping they'll sound good good enough for your liking
