I'm running a raid 0 array with 2 wd2500ks's @ 16mb cache and 1 wd2500js with 8mb of cache and it's running pretty good. Almost seems the same performance as the 2500ks's alone though. Performance on HDtune is better but idk. In vista transfer from 1tb to raid is 115MB/s and transfer to 1tb from raid can go to 180MB/s then stablize at 110MB/s. I wonder why this is? Isn't read and write supposed to be really fast? I'm gonna bench in Sisoft sandra to see more plausible results but i was expecting triple performance. Also with the 2 drive raid i had the same 115-120MB/s write but it would stabilize at 95MB/s. Now i'm getting consistent 115-120MB/s. Is the JS only helping 20MB/s? LOL IDK what to think is this even worth it for the possible stability issues? It's perfectly stable anyway.

My experience has been that you will rarely ever see raid performance triple. If you have a really good pcie raid controller you would see better gains. I would imagine the wall you are seeing is the built in controllers maximum potential. I am not familiar with your mobo but that seems about right.

Those speeds are fantastic, man! I have the 2500ks in RAID 0 and I get about 68mb/s steady. I have them on the ATI's SB600 which is a joke when it comes to RAID. The alternative is onboard Silicon 3112 which is incredibly old as well.

Thanks. I was running on Intel Active Matrix Storage with latest driver of the intel website, dated 2008. It improved my speeds drastically.
