    XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 or Scythe Ninja 2 ?

    XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 or Scythe Ninja 2 ?

I'm thinking of these 2 hsf's for my new build.

The Scythe seems a little difficult to find.

Anyone have opinions one way or the other about these?

Would like it to be quiet even at load but the most important thing
is that it get the job done.

Getting the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P and the E8400 Wolfdale and planning to oc.

Re: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 or Scythe Ninja 2 ?

    IMO, either would be fine.
I have an old Ninja (not the "2" but more like a rev A-B) and the HDT, both on quads. The HDT is a better cooler on quads but the Ninja is no slouch. For a dual-core it would depend on price and availability.

    How quiet is quiet?
