    Space shuttle/Space station- ISS

Some opportunities to see both while hooked up in orbit, even without telescopes, etc.. Too bad about the lil bat that wanted the free ride:

If you're wondering when you'd be able to see the ISS or some other satilites fly overhead in your area, this site is probably the best I've found:

    Heavens Above

They allow you to enter your longitude, latitude, and timezone and then they'll produce nice charts and maps of when and where different satellites will appear in the sky.

Appearently this evening is going to be another good chance for me to see the ISS.

I FINALLY saw it! The ISS did a fly-by tonight and me, my camera, and the weather were ready for it.

During its 5 min. fly-by it came to about 940km from my location. With it and the shuttle it appeared to be a 0.1 Mag object. I knew that was going to be bright, but I didn't think it was going to be that bright! There were a few jets flying in the area but they were nothing compared to the ISS!

The ISS has been hiding me for the past 2 years. Tonight I may actually see it twice.
