    There will be three versions of the game scheduled for release later this year: regular, Hardened Edition and the Prestige Edition.

    Regular (MSRP $59.99):

    I'm sure they'll get a bulk discount but the price on NVGs is um steep. If they are to have any quality at all and not just render the world green I think the price on the prestige pack is going to be silly.

    You're right: NVGs are costly, even low-end monoculars with or without the headgear. I think it's a novelty inclusion more than anything else. If they keep the price point ~$130, I think it could sell very well (this would be on par with the HALO 3 Legendary Edition, which included a scale replica of Master Chief's helmet; any higher and it could be a tough sale, especially in this economy).

    It appears that the Hardened and Prestige editions of Modern Warfare 2 that were pimped out on Youtube a few weeks ago will be limited to consoles only. IGN PC asked Infinity Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling which collectors edition PC users would be able to get their hands on, to which Bowling responded: "There will be no PC version of e! ither collectors' editions

    PC Gamers screwed again.
