    The WHO health care ranking talking point he is trying to regurgitate is as accurate as the 48 gazillion uninsured number that's making a the rounds again. Both numbers fall flat when exposed to light of day. Look had enough and I'm sure you'll find a "hockey stick" in there somewhere.

    Infant mortality, average age @ death, quality of care, are just a few of the factors that go into the ranking.

    We have a high obesity rate not because of prosperity, but because of the fast food industry, we eat like pigs and we choose the wrong foods.

    Nations with UHC also pay their doctors bonuses for getting people to give up their bad habits, unlike here, they practise preventitive medicine, not just come out with a new pill for everything under the sun. The medical world here doesn't want you healthy. They want profit, which means covering up the problem with a pill, not preventing the illness. Don't you watch the ads for theses meds, the side-effects are usually worse then the problem they are "curing".

    Even if the uninsured # is indeed flawed, SO WHAT???

    What if it were 200 people out of the whole country that are uninsured.
    Are they not entitled to health care?

    The United States ranks dead last on almost all measures of equity because we have the greatest disparity in the quality of care given to richer and poorer citizens. Americans with below-average incomes are much less likely than their counterparts in other industrialized nations to see a doctor when sick, to fill prescriptions or to get needed tests and follow-up care.

    It's obvious that the private sector can't, healthcare costs here are more per capita than any other industrialized nation on earth.
    I love my health care provider I DONT WANT government in my health care business.

    The private sector sure is better than the alternative.The government controls the VA and medicare/medicaid and if that's any indication of how they plan on running health care they can shove it straight up their Ass. I qualify for VA health care and will never ever, ever use it. Like I said they "DON'T RUN ANYTHING EFFICIENTLY" foolish to think our government can do any better than the other failed socialist models around the world. You may be COOL with getting to keep 25 cents outta every dollar you make but I am not COOL with that. This health care plan is going to cost TOO damn much money we and our kids and their kids DONT have the money or NEVER will HAVE enough to pay for this economical power grab.

    Guess what, you can keep them if you want. Germany has UHC and private insurance and it works fine there.

    I love the repug arguement that the gov't will be between you and your doctor, right now the insurance company is the one telling you how much help you'll get and you don't seem to mind.

    Fast food is a result of prosperity. They don't have too many McDonalds in Afghanistan or New Guinea because few can afford to pay for it. Having money does not make people wise.
