oh, ok, I can do dat lol
Just grabbed Halo 3 on Amazon Marketplace for $19 shipped.
I thought this would be more relevant here than the Hot Deals forum:
Walmart.com: Buy 2 Get 1 Free* on select Xbox 360 titles
$39 for three games is a good deal. Very limited selection of titles in this offer, but they're all solid titles (as opposed to the 2/$30 game bundle). Shipping is $4.97 (plus sales tax, of course).
BC can has the muliplayer on XBOX live. I think dats most similar. Although contrary to the single player campaign mode. It's Battlefield. Guns and tanks and copters and stuff, frag the bad guys and steals their stuff.

Without question, the Burnout franchise is my favourite racing series on any console, and Burnout Paradise continues this tradition. The numerous gameplay modes (Road Rage, Showtime, etc.) ensures a high degree of replay value, without ever getting repetitive or boring. It's buttery smooth and the crash effects are stellar. If you enjoy arcade racers, this is a must-have for your library.
The last Battlefield game I played was 1942 (no hands-on experience with BF2 or BF2142), so I'm not sure I can offer the best frame of reference (with regards to the overall series). It was developed by DICE and is the first game to use the Frostbite engine, i.e. most of the environment is destructible; as such, strategy is a factor when seeking cover, as well as being on the offensive. The lack of v-sync is its major graphical shortcoming, but the audio more than makes up for it (especially if you're hooked up to a decent HT system). There are comedic bits within the game: some find it distracting, others don't think it detracts from the gameplay. Although the game is story-driven, multiplayer is where the game shines (there's no co-op mode, however). How similar is Bad Company to the PC Battlefield games? Bad Company apparently has a story driven single player mode? That sounds interesting to me.
Is it worth $13? Easily.
^^ Thanks again for the great feedback. If anyone else has experience with the single player on Bad Company I'd be interested to hear about it.
I am fortunate enough to play the 360 on a 61" Samsung 1080p TV with a 7.1 HT system. The 360 is connected to the receiver over optical audio so I'm getting Dolby Digital 5.1 which the receiver plays over all 7 speakers (Dolby PLIIx). It does indeed look and sound very impressive

How's the console gaming going Len. Still can't get used to FPS with the PS3 controller, but then again I don't spend that much time with it. Very frustrating to us old school PC gamers.
