    APU [Audio Processor]

I'm was browsing NewEgg, looking at sound cards, and I had a hard time trying to decipher which sounds have Audio Processors and which don't. For all I know, maybe they all do.

I am looking for a card with an audio processor so I don't have to waste CPU cycles on it...

Is an APU really that efficient?

Is there any chance a sound card with an APU would increase game FPS?

    yes it would

but chances are the money spent on it invested in a better vga card

would give a 10 fold increase compared to the sound card

exactly, it used to be a bigger deal back in the days were cpu were kinda slow, but with a recent chip the load required to compute everything related to sound processing is pretty small.
according to reviews I've read you can expect maybe 2 to 5 fps increase depending on the game.
