    Thumbs up 4Ghz Processor Club

    Im starting a new club for anyone who has a CPU at 4Ghz

    My new Intel is on the way and it will be overclocked to 4000mhz once I get it
    Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem @4Ghz
    CoolerMaster V8
    EVGA X58 3X SLI
    Antec Signature 850W
    Antec Twelve-Hundred
    6GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600mhz(Triple Channel)
    EVGA GTS 250 (500mb) x 2 (SLI)

    Heck.. I hit 4GHZ on my P4 years ago.

    I have two E8400, E0 oc'ed to 4.0ghz and 4.25ghz both stable. Fairly snappy computers.

    To be fair.. I was running that P4 on phase change. It ran fine well over 4Ghz but I wanted to keep the vcore at a reasonable level. So I ran it at 4Ghz for daily usage. This same setup ran my FX55 at nearly 3.2Ghz until I replaced it with my current C2D.

    how about some rules? air cooling only. or maybe water as well

    add a couple 120mm fans overhead to drop temps by 10+ celsiusD.S.C-12(2)-disclaimer : whatever u do with your hardware/software is your

    but seriously, i think most people can afford air coolers, even tough the better ones are 65 buckers.

    les keep it simple. dude buys the parts, as close to stock as possible(air cooler with push pins or at most backplate) but no water etc.
