I ran it at that speed for over a year until I replaced it with my FX55. Does that qualify as "stable"?

To be fair.. I was running that P4 on phase change. It ran fine well over 4Ghz but I wanted to keep the vcore at a reasonable level. So I ran it at 4Ghz for daily usage. This same setup ran my FX55 at nearly 3.2Ghz until I replaced it with my current C2D.

itll make it interesting. if ya wanted to go extreme, then stock cooling only@!!!
but seriously, i think most people can afford air coolers, even tough the better ones are 65 buckers.

I am only on a lowly core 2 dually so not worthy of royalty. 4ghz on a quad would be more impressive.

What about pelts? Those are used in conjunction with water also.

    Re: 4Ghz Processor Club

les keep it simple. dude buys the parts, as close to stock as possible(air cooler with push pins or at most backplate) but no water etc.
